The instant loan app mPokket has appointed Vikram Singh as Product Manager. In his new role, Singh will lead the fintech firm’s product team and will be responsible for developing the product strategy and roadmap that aligns with the company’s strategic goals. Singh is a talented product manager with a wealth of industry experience, said Gaurav Jalan, CEO and founder of mPokket. “He will play a vital role in the evolution of existing products while driving the development of new and innovative products to drive further growth,” added Jalan.
Singh’s career spans more than a decade and he has worked with Myntra, Axtria, and Samsung. Before joining mPokket, he was associated with Myntra as an associate director. During his tenure on the trendy ecommerce platform, he launched popular products like Myntra Credit and Personalized Checkout. Additionally, he is also credited with driving the adoption of online payment transactions through integrations with payment gateways, as well as the launch of Cardless EMI and Flipkart PayLater on Myntra.
With his experience building mobile, online web and app products for Indian and global clients, he will lead a team of product managers and UX designers at mPokket. It will help them build new products along with scaling existing ones.
mPokket, founded by Gaurav Jalan in 2015, offers loans to college students and young working professionals, ranging from Rs 500 to Rs 30,000. Although somewhat similar to credit cards, mPokket’s business model focuses on a segment that is not eligible for traditional loans but requires instant funds. The loan is instantly disbursed to clients and credited to their bank account via smartphone in seconds.
