The national championship matches refer to the second round of competitions. The state ones took place between January and February.

The warrants, issued by the court of the 2nd State Court of Deeds Relating to Offenses Committed by a Criminal Organization and Laundering or Concealment of Rights and Valuables, are being fulfilled in the municipalities of Goiânia-GO, Bataguassu-MS, Campina Grande-PB, Nilópolis- RJ, Santana do Parnaíba-SP, São Paulo-SP, Volta Redonda-RJ and Votuporanga-SP.

This Tuesday’s operation is an offshoot of Operations Maximum Penalty I and II, launched in February and April 2023, respectively.

They have resulted, to date, in the filing of three complaints received by the Judiciary, with 32 people accused of crimes of being part of a criminal organization and corruption in the sporting sphere.

The MPGO investigates conduct in which a criminal group aimed to entice professional players by offering high financial amounts to carry out events such as punishment with a yellow or red card, committing a penalty or partial score in the match, which enabled its members to obtain profits in sites of sports betting.
