A member of the “Strong Lebanon” bloc, MP George Atallah, tweeted on his Twitter account, writing: “The money you pay to the Syrians can prevent them from starving if you pay it in Syria.”
He added, “The organization that is conspiring against our homeland, i.e. UNHCR, has an office in Damascus and has not documented, until this moment, any of your misguidance: threats, persecution, and arrest.”
He concluded his tweet by saying: “Take them to you and do not abandon them. As for us, we will not give up our land and we do not want your money.”
