In the Rudnyansky district of the Volgograd region, a 38-year-old deputy of a rural settlement was arrested, accused of committing a number of serious crimes, this was reported on Sunday, August 9, in press service regional department of the Investigative Committee.
Law enforcement officers found out that the man staged a confrontation with the employees of the agricultural enterprise who worked on the land, which went to the underage half-sister of the accused as an inheritance from their deceased father.
The deputy tried to challenge the ownership of the plot, but lost the lawsuit, but still continued to claim farmland and tried to resolve the issue by force.
Investigators have already reconstructed the picture of events. According to their version, the man came to the field, beat one of the workers, then aimed his carbine at him, after which he aimed at the cabins of agricultural machines, where there were people at that moment. Fortunately, none of them were hurt.
The deputy got behind the wheel of his SUV and tried to enter a group of employees of the agricultural enterprise. One of the victims did not manage to dodge the vehicle, was hit by a car and was injured.
“In the course of the investigation of the criminal case, the defendant was seized with a firearm. He denies the fact of the shooting, but he cannot explain to the investigators how the bullets from his gun ended up in the back of agricultural machinery,” the Investigative Committee noted.
After all that happened, the deputy became a defendant in a criminal case initiated under the articles “Attempted murder of more than two persons, committed in a generally dangerous way”, “Arbitrariness committed with the use of violence” and “Threat to murder.”
Currently, the court has not yet chosen a measure of restraint for the accused, but the victims, fearing for their lives, demand that he be isolated from society.
