The whole claim that we are attacking on March 3rd is false. We are not attacking it, it will remain a holiday. We will pay tribute to the people who sacrificed their lives for the freedom of our country. But this has nothing to do with our intention to make May 24 a national holiday – as a day that celebrates perhaps one of the greatest achievements of the Bulgarians – to give education, to give writing and the alphabet. This was stated by Iskren Mitev, an MP from the PP-DB in the program “The Day Live” on NOVA NEWS.
“We have come to listen to the people. If a referendum is organized for this, I will support it. And I will comply with his opinion if he manages to gather the necessary majority,” Mitev added.
Regarding the war between the institutions, the deputy expressed his opinion that when the Constitution was written and the organization of Bulgaria was planned, it was most likely not assumed that an institution that should unite Bulgarians would be used for personal purposes. And he added: “We see that the parties of hatred in Bulgaria have their place. I wonder what Mr. Radev can give to politics more than what he has given. He has failed as president because the main role of the president is to unite. He definitely doesn’t, so as a failed president, how can he be a successful politician from now on.”
“We will make Bulgaria a normal European country in which, when it does not run a regular government, it is run by a regular government that has resigned. And not for the president to appoint the people to rule personally, without the possibility of control by society,” said Mitev .
“The problems in this governing “non-coalition” are many. My victory is that at this table of the forces that govern Bulgaria, there is also a place for “We continue the change”. As a party that represents society. And more and more people will become part from Bulgarian politics. I am glad that we are a part of this change,” said the PP-DB MP.
When asked what was the role of Aleksey Petrov in order for the “assembly” to exist, Mitev answered: “I have nothing to do with the mafia circles in Bulgaria. Most of the people I know in “We continue the change” are also such people. And the attempt to “sew” interaction with the Mutren circles to us is very funny”.
When people understand that every time they don’t issue you a receipt and when the money goes into cash – their street will not be fixed, then Bulgaria will be fixed. We have to lighten the Bulgarian economy and this is such an experience. We will make amendments to the law until they work. That’s what Mitev added.
