MP Asghair Walad Al-Ateeq resigns from the Popular Alliance Party

Al-Akhbar (Nouakchott) – Representative Asghair Ould Al-Ateeq announced his resignation from the Progressive People’s Alliance Party, saying that it is turning “a page of more than a quarter of a century of struggle history rich in giving, experiences and challenges.”

And the statement of Ould Esghair’s resignation, of which Al-Akhbar obtained a copy, said: “I announce the disengagement from the Progressive People’s Alliance Party and my final and absolute dissolution of all obligations that bind me to it.”

He also expressed “sincere thanks, appreciation and gratitude to the male and female comrades with whom I shared the passage of life before it was sweet, and we stormed together through all obstacles in order to create a national public awareness to consolidate the quiet democratic practice.”

He added: “Despite the obstacles and obstacles, I made an effort during the past parliamentary commission, did not stingy and did not fall short in defending the right of the weak, the oppressed, the marginalized and the disadvantaged.”
