Mozarttörtchen wins second prize at the Mozart Festival

The Mozart tart from the Hohenroth organic bakery is right at the forefront of the Mozart Day: In the creative ideas competition 100 for 100 Mozart Festival Würzburg in the Charity category, the SOS village community Hohenroth achieved second place thanks to its press release thanks to numerous votes.

On the occasion of the 100th birthday of the Mozart Festival in Würzburg, an ideas competition was launched in which participants could take part in the categories charity, enjoyment, technology / innovation, design / publication, young talent and events. In the period from March 1st to March 28th, a total of 20,787 votes were cast online. In each category, the project with the most votes received first prize.

The contribution from the organic village bakery Hohenroth can be enjoyed in the form of a mini tartlet. A tart with a taste reminiscent of the famous Sachertorte from Austria, Mozart’s homeland. A composition of white chocolate combined with soft, cream-colored pistachios. Nutty nougat layers alternate with light, airy strips of dough. The tartlet is covered with a fine glass and a dark chocolate couverture.

Designed by the up-and-coming pastry chef

The delicacy was designed by the young up-and-coming confectioner and baker Lea Wagner. The employees with cognitive impairments in the organic village bakery are included in the production of the tartlets. ?? When making the cakes, the social part, i.e. the work with the residents, is particularly important to me ,? confirms Lea Wagner. The residents also like the creative art of baking, as it represents a change from everyday bakery life.

?? We are very happy that we were able to convince so many people with our idea. And even more about the great price, which will certainly give the residents a lot of pleasure ??, emphasizes Christine Frauer, who is responsible for public relations for the village community. The second prize is a concert that the residents of Hohenroth can listen to in summer. A converted truck called the “Blauer Eumel” with a stage will bring the music to the people in Hohenroth. The respective program is adapted to the location and the audience. The prize was donated by the association ?? Der Blaue Eumel Mobile Kunst eV ?? in collaboration with the Mozart Festival. The award ceremony took place on May 29th as part of the Mozart Day in Würzburg.
