Sadio Mane costumed Bayern Munich since last summer. Mane’s move has received attention from the Portuguese football superstar Cristiano Ronaldo.
Mane moved to Bayern after spending six successful seasons with Liverpool. The Senegalese star player was bought in a deal that could reach up to 41 million euros and is contracted until 2025.
So far Mane has made 11 goals and four assists in 24 appearances for The Reds. However, Mane’s good momentum was hampered by injury which forced him out for three months in November.
Meanwhile, Ronaldo is now playing for the Saudi Arabian club, Al Nassr, after parting ways with Manchester United at the end of last year. Mane revealed that the five-time world best player congratulated him after officially moving to Bayern Munich.
“I’ve met Cristiano Ronaldo at Mallorca before this season, after my move was finalized,” Mane told Bild, quoted Mirror.
“He congratulated me and told me ‘What a club! This is a great move for you!’
Ronaldo himself was linked with Bayern in the summer when he was still under contract with MU. Mane was scorned by crossing to Germany because he was considered to have chosen an easy career, due to Bayern’s dominance.
“That says everything about the Bundesliga and emphasizes what I’ve said before: I think you’re underestimating the Bundesliga here. The recent performances of the clubs in the Champions League have proven it.” Sadio Mane.
