“Tepic is the capital of Nayarit, a place full of history surrounded by its unique colonial architecture. Nayarit is a privileged place, as it has beaches, islands, lakes, lagoons, mountains, springs, magical towns, and excellent colonial architecture. A place with so much diversity in natural settings. Thanks to the great variety of natural settings, the first edition of FICTEP will have two venues; in two municipalities: Tepic and Xalisco and it is still time for those interested to register the short film with which they wish to participate, they must be at least two minutes long and a maximum of 20, at least two years old, regardless of whether they already It was exhibited in other festivals, the call closes until April 5, 2021 ”, said Ramírez.
EThe jury is made up of Nadia Partida, director of the La Paz International Film Festival, Rigoberto Veloz, director of the Tequila International Film Festival, and Pablo Gleason González, filmmaker. The director of FICTEP announced that they will soon announce the list of talent that will be present. On the other hand, he added: “As a reference in Tepic, one of the most successful telenovelas of televisa“ María Isabel ”was carried out by the producer Carla Estrada. In addition, the film “Cabeza de Vaca” was filmed in the municipality of San Blas under the direction of Nicolás Echevarría, considered one of the best films of Mexican cinematography.
