The long-awaited film is based on the short story “The Monkey” by Stephen King, is produced by James Wan (“Jigsaw”) and is directed by Osgood Perkins (“Longlegs”). It also stars Theo James, Elijah Wood and Tatiana Maslany.
The disturbing story of El Mono
“The Monkey” tells the story of twin brothers Bill and Hal, who, after discovering an ancient monkey toy in their father’s attic, witness a series of gruesome deaths unfold.
As the brothers try to get rid of the toy and move on with their lives, tragedy and mystery descend upon them. Those that also push them to separate paths as the years go by.
This film adaptation is one of the most anticipated suspense premieres of the season, which will hit Chilean cinemas on February 27, 2025. Distributed by BF Distribution.
