Movement around Plíšková. Manager Hrdlička announces a novelty in the team

Tennis player Karolína Plíšková will be newly trained by Croatian coach Marino Basič. He replaced compatriot Azuz Simčič in the team of the Czech number one, with whom Plíšková has been cooperating since 2017. As the tennis player’s manager Michal Hrdlička stated in a press release, the change was initiated by the head coach of the Czech tennis player Sascha Bajin.

Basič used to train other leading Canadian tennis players, Milos Raonic, Croatian Borna Čorič and most recently Ukrainian Dayana Jastremská. However, he also took care of rowers Martin and Valent Sinkovic, the Croatian brotherly pair of Olympic winners from Rio de Janeiro and Tokyo. Basič started cooperating with Plíšková after the end of the Olympic tournament and before the American tour, they will take part in the first tournament together in Montreal in preparation for the US Open grand slam.

“Farewell to Zul (Simčič) was very difficult. He is a great guy with an eternally good mood, we remain very good friends. Thanks to him, Kája was in great shape for many months and managed the demanding tournament program without any health problems. He now got an offer to be a coach in our tennis academy, “said Hrdlička.
