Movember stopped off in Cannes this Sunday

This Sunday, November 24, there were between 100 and 150 people setting off from the seafront in the city of Cannes as part of Movember, a fundraising race for a good cause. Everyone proudly displayed their mustache to remind us of the importance of taking care of men’s health.

Movember stopped in Cannes this Sunday, November 24 to raise awareness around the issue of men’s health. Accessible to all, the event aims to support research and prevention around prostate cancer, testicular cancer and even mental health. The symbol is the same for everyone: a mustache.

Growing a mustache is the symbol of our commitment to men’s health. (…) Wearing it shows your support for men’s health and a healthy world.

The disguises were there this Sunday on the Boulevard du Midi. Under the mustaches, smiles appeared… despite the rain.

Among those present, Professor Chevallier, head of the urology department at Nice University Hospital, came to talk about men’s health during the morning.

In France, prostate cancer affects at least 50,000 men each year. However, screening remains too infrequent. In order to detect these cancers at an early stage, there are simple tests such as a rectal exam.
