The vaccine against covid-19 prepared by virologist Luis Enjuanes, at the National Center for Biotechnology (CNB-CSIC), incorporates the British, South African and Brazilian variants of SARS-Cov-2 and, although the process is going with some delay, expects to begin trials in mice “in a matter of weeks.”
Enjuanes prefers not to specify dates, because “in science, one predicts one thing and then it takes two more months”, but they are already in a position to, “in a matter of weeks, start doing the experiments in an animal model of humanized transgenic mice”, that will last about three months.
