Mouth caps and working from home no objection, but sectors fear coronapas

Sports clubs will have to deal with the corona proof for the first time. Participants and the public of amateur sports competitions must show a corona ticket from Saturday before they can enter a sports hall or sports park. And that doesn’t go down well everywhere.

For example, sports umbrella organization NOC*NSF and football association KNVB are calling on the House of Representatives to allow amateurs over the age of 18 to exercise without corona proof. The organizations fear that clubs do not have enough people to check QR codes.

“How are you going to organize that at sports parks? This is difficult to achieve and has a negative effect on associations in the Netherlands,” said general director of NOC*NSF Marc van den Tweel in the radio program Along the Line And Surroundings. “It all leads to great unrest and attracts a heavy change on associations, volunteers and football players,” according to the KNVB.

50 percent working from home

There is much less criticism of the renewed homeworking measure. The FNV trade union even thinks that the advice to work from home at least half of the time is “rather generous”.

“Even now, many people who do not need to be in the workplace work for the most part at home, certainly at government organizations and at banks and insurers. This advice does not change that much,” says Vice-President Kitty Jong.

According to the union, the homeworking measure may therefore be stricter, but the union has strong reservations about the proposal to use the corona proof in the workplace. According to Jong, this possible measure will increase the dichotomy in society and lead to indirect vaccination compulsion towards employees.

Employers are enthusiastic about the possibility of using the corona proof in the workplace. However, it should not become an obligation, according to VNO-NCW and MKB-Nederland. “That leads to new problems in a time of shortage.”
