Actress Anca Veresti has died at the age of 89. She was married for five years to actor Victor Rebengiuc.
In a post on the Facebook page, but also on the official website, the Romanian theatre Union announced the great loss. UNITER described the famous artist as”a sober presence, full of dignity, with a smile barely seen”.
“Anca Veresti was a strong personality who hid a sensitive man. A discreet man, of overwhelming modesty, an active supporter of the campaign “Artists for artists”, every year donating to those in need.
From 1956 to 1989 he played on the stage of Bulandra Theatre Bucharest. It was 33 years of dedication, of love of theater. Among the most important appearances on the stage of Bulandra Theatre we mention: Irma in” The Madwoman of Chaillot “by Jean Giraundoux, Viola in” Twelfth Night “by W. Shakespeare, Natasha in” war and peace”, after Leo Tolstoy.
Other performances in which he starred: “The ideal Husband” by Oscar Wilde, “Mamouret” by Jean Sarment, “the House of Bernarda Alba” by Federico Garcia Lorca, “dangerous turn” by I. B. Prinstley.
Smooth road to the light, Anca Veresti! God forgive you!”is the message sent by UNITER.
