The world of wine mourns the untimely death of Gianfranco Lanci. He was 69 years old and would die for complications arising after an operation on the vertebrae.
From Turin, a computer engineer, he had worked for large companies such as Texas and Acer, Lenovo and Texas, but in recent years he had also invested in wine in Piedmont, creating a group of wineries with the acquisitions of Dosio, in the Langhe and Coppo and Villa Giada di Canelli, a group of about 80 hectares of owned vineyards in the territories of Monferrato and Langhe, a UNESCO heritage site.
Lanci leaves behind his wife and three children.
