Roma

Jose Mourinho still superior in the home game after the win AS Roma over Udinese 1-0. Mourinho now equals Juventus coach’s record Massimiliano Allegri.

Portugal’s top coach led Roma when serving Udinese’s challenge at the Olimpico in the Italian League continued, Friday (9/24/2021) early morning WIB. The Giallorossi managed to bring home the full points thanks to Tammy Abraham’s single goal in the 36th minute.

Riccardo Calafiori accelerated to comb the left wing before entering the penalty box, then sent a low pass in front of the Udinese goal. Abraham easily did a flick from close range to thrill the opponent’s goal.

Udinese took control of the game after the break. The Zebra put pressure on Roma but failed to find a goal back, even after the home side lost Lorenzo Pellegrini to a stoppage-time red card.

Thanks to this result, Roma returned to the top of the Italian League standings. Roma are fourth on 12 points, one point behind reigning champions Inter Milan (2) and AC Milan (3) and just three behind Napoli at the top.

Moreover, this victory means Mourinho is already unbeaten in 41 consecutive home games in this competition. The Special One equals the record in the era of three points per win (since 1994/95), scored Merry while managing Juventus between September 2015 and September 2017.

Mourinho achieved this by leading Roma to win their first three home games of the season, and 38 home games while still in charge of Inter Milan from 2008 to 2010.

Jose Mourinho seemed satisfied with the performance of AS Roma after beating Udinese. Roma rose from defeat at Verona’s headquarters as well as overcome Udinese who were quite aggressive.

“After the defeat, the next game is always more difficult on an emotional level. I think in the first 35 minutes we showed better quality than we had this season. We completely controlled the game against a team that defended very well,” said him to DAZN.

“We scored goals, created more chances, transitioned well and controlled the game. It was a difficult game, but a good game,” concluded Jose Mourinho.
