José Mourinho has chosen not to train in De Kuip in preparation for the match against Feyenoord. The AS Roma coach will be present in the Feyenoord stadium for the press conference on Wednesday evening.
According to Feyenoord watcher Martijn Krabbendam van Football International Mourinho will bring one player to De Kuip, probably Wijnaldum. “After the press conference, the AS Roma squad will arrive and instead of training, they will walk around the field and then go back inside.”
Krabbendam explains that it is not unusual for clubs to choose not to train in the opponent’s stadium. Olympique Marseille did that last season and Manchester United chose not to train in De Kuip prior to their 2016 match. Mourinho now opts to just complete the final training in Rome.
