Mourad, a 16-year-old piano prodigy, is about to release his second album. The Marseillais spotted thanks to a video which made the buzz seems promised to a beautiful musical career.

Mourad Tsimpou, 16, is able to improvise for long minutes on his piano. “If you don’t tell me to stop, I don’t stop“, launches the prodigy, which leaves its second album next August. In 2018, the young man was filmed at the hospital of Timone, in Marseille (Bouches-du-Rhône), playing Chopin with impressive agility. The video created a buzz. The town hall then offered him a piano, then he was invited to perform at the Velodrome stadium, before signing with a prestigious record company.
The person concerned has worked with Soprano or even André Manoukian. Today, Mourad takes piano lessons almost daily in order to learn the rigor of working from a score, while leading his high school life. He takes care of his tempo but continues to play instinctively. Originally from the Castellane district, the musician is nicknamed the Zidane of the piano. He also started rap and confides his ambition to “performing, full of gigs, and releasing albums until it stops“.
