MOUNTAIN CINEMA. “Montagne en Scène” starts on November 15 in Paris and will pass through Annecy, Grenoble, Chambéry, Chamonix …

Created in 2013, Montagne en scène is preparing to launch its winter edition on November 15 at the Grand Rex in Paris before touring Europe with 130 dates.

In France, Grenoble is finally part of the program with Annecy, Archamps, Biarritz, Besançon, Bordeaux, Chambéry, Chamonix, Clermont-Ferrand, La Rochelle, Lille, Lyon Marseille, Montpellier, Nancy, Nantes, Nice, Orléans, Oyonnax, Paris , Pau, Perpignan, Rennes, Saint-Etienne, Sallanches, Strasbourg, Toulouse, Valence or even Valserhône (all dates here).

Four films are on the program for this “Winter Edition” 2021.

At the head, we find the Swiss freerider Jérémie Heitz in “The List: everything or nothing”, sequel to the film “The List” which had marked the spirits when it was released four years ago. Very steep downhill skiing, at very high altitude and at very high speed. A way to revisit some 6000-meter peaks in Peru and Pakistan.

Second film showing, “The Traverse” with Valentine Fabre and Hillary Gerardi, which looks back on their crossing of the “Haute-route” between Chamonix-Zermatt in record time. A beautiful story of a female roped party.

Third film on the program, “Le Diamant des Alpes” directed by Sébastien Montaz-Rosset who accompanied Vivian Bruchez and Mathieu Navillod. A trip through the Alps on bikes to find beautiful lines to ski between lovers of beautiful often steep slopes.

Change of element with the fourth film to discover, “Pretty Strong” which proposes to follow the Mexican climber Fernanda Rodriguez on the routes of her region with in particular a route rated in 8b +.

LINE OF THE YEAR

New for this 2021 edition, the “Line of the year” campaign aims to highlight, among six candidates, the three most remarkable lines made on skis or snowboard. These will be screened during the Montagne en scène sessions and there are lots of people:

– Le couloir de Gaube, Vignemale (Pyrenees) with Pierre Hourticq, Hélias Millerioux and Victor Delerue, a line from the film “Sauvatge” directed by Antoine Frioux,

– The Taschhorn in Valais Switzerland with Paul Bonhomme and Vivian Bruchez, line from the film “Curiosity” directed by Justin Galant,

– The Aletschorn (Valais) with snowboarders Géraldine Fasnacht and Emilien Badoux, line from the film “Ride Aletsch” directed by Géraldine Fasnacht,

– Le Piz Boè in the Dolomites with Samuel Anthamatten, line from the film “Roots” directed by Etienne Merel,

– Le Lenzsptitze (Valais) with Gaétan Gaudissard, line from the film “Conscience” directed by Alex Chanmbet,

– The Breithorn West (Valais) with Victor Delerue and Samuel Anthamatten, line from the film “Versatile” directed by Etienne Merel.
