Ciamis News, (harapanrakyat.com),- The tigers from Mount Sawal Ciamis began to act. A number of sheep and goat stables belonging to residents around the mountain are planned to be fenced with barbed wire around them.
The installation of the fence is to avoid attacks by wild animals such as leopards and panthers that descend from Mount Sawal.
Because these animals often prey on sheep and goats belonging to residents of Cipaku Village, Cipaku District, Ciamis Regency.
Secretary of Cipaku Village, Suherlin said, after the existence of sheep and goats belonging to residents who were preyed upon by wild animals some time ago. So the Cipaku Village Government immediately reported it to the BKSDA.
“To ensure that the sheep and goats belonging to the residents are not targeted by wild animals, BKSDA Ciamis has promised to provide barbed wire assistance,” he said, Wednesday (29/09/221).
Gunung Sawal Ciamis Tigers are back in action targeting residents’ livestock. Later every cattle pen around Gunung Sawal is planned to be fenced using barbed wire. This is so that the livestock belonging to the residents are safe from the threat of wild animals.
However, Suherlin continued, his party has not calculated the exact number of cattle pens owned by residents who are prone to wild animal attacks.
But if the assistance for installing barbed wire fences from BKSDA goes down. Then the cage that is more prone to attack by wild animals will be a priority scale.
“We are also not sure when to install the safety fence. It is hoped that this plan will be realized in the near future. So that the sheep and goats are safe from the threat of wild animals,” concluded Suherlin. (Dji/R3/HR-Online)
