The presence of Baekdu mountain tigers in northeastern China has increased significantly.

This is because the number of tigers has increased as the Chinese government has implemented a policy to protect wild tigers.

Eventually, he even threatened people and in some areas residents were even banned from entering the forest.

Correspondent Cho Hee-hyeong from Beijing told the story.

“Go fast! Go fast!”

The three-year-old tiger injured one person and damaged four vehicles.

In northeastern China, the number of tigers appearing in private homes has increased significantly, possibly due to the increase in the number of tigers with the implementation of the wild tiger protection policy.

The number of northeastern tigers in China, which we call Baekdu Mountain tigers, in the wild in 2017 was 27, but recently surpassed 60.

There are also accidents affecting people along the way, so the news even guides how to deal with tigers.

“If you see a tiger, it’s a relatively safe way to step back.”

About 600 tigers from Mount Baekdu, which disappeared from the Korean peninsula, remain in the world, of which 90% live in Russia and the remaining 10% in China.

China is implementing an active tiger protection policy by creating national parks over 20 times larger than Seoul in Heilongjiang and Jilin provinces.

“90-95% of the tigers in this park migrate across the border (China and Russia). The tigers don’t need passports.”

Raohe County in China’s Heilongjiang Province recently banned residents from entering the wild, as wild tigers have become more frequent.
