TCHIBANGA, November 28, 2024 (AGP) – The wooden bridge over the Moukalaba river, which is 29 kilometers from Tchibanga and about fifty kilometers from Moabi, in Nyanga district (South), has just been restored by a group – regional directorate of Public Works. , noted the AGP.
After more than a month of work, Jean-Robert Mabobet, custodian of state authority in Nyanga province, went to see the work done by the regional directorate of Public Works and to receive it on behalf of the country’s authorities , led by the President of the Transition, Brice Clotaire Oligui Nguema.
“I am very pleased with the quality of the work done on this structure, as the corridor had become dangerous for users. So I would like to congratulate the regional director of Public Works and the entire team for being able to postpone the bad weather for a month to intervene within a reasonable time,” said Governor of the Department.
According to the technical sheet developed by the local hierarchy of Public Works (TP), under the direction of Emery Sosthène Bouassa, it appears that the work carried out includes stripping and placing in. 192 planks, 213 new tray tables set with 1500 pictures – suitable assets.
This restoration of the Moukalaba bridge will soon follow, the time for Public Works to get an appropriate tool to intervene in replacing the fallen sill. In the meantime, traffic is temporarily prohibited for large aircraft on this structure. The bridge over the Moukalaba River, 120 meters long, crosses the regions of Mougoutsi (Tchibanga) and Douigny (Moabi). It had become a source of great concern because of the danger it posed when crossing.
