CONARY- Despite Guinea’s qualification for the next African Cup of Nations scheduled for January 2024 in Ivory Coast, coach Kaba Diawara is still not unanimous.
Supporters and observers are calling for his departure before the next CAN, who remain convinced that Syli is not progressing in the game, under the auspices of the former international striker. An opinion which is not shared by some, notably Mouctar Diakhaby, who defends himself. In a media outing, the indisputable defender of Syli threw flowers to his coach whom he considers to be the man for the job, and who according to him, makes the Guinea national team progress.
« Yes, the team is progressing! When you see our last matches against the big teams, we lost but we played good matches. We are a team in reconstruction. When we see African teams like Algeria or Senegal, they took time to rebuild and here we are, we try to do that in a fairly short time and then our objective is to progress at all levels. Kaba Diawara is the man for the job. He created this group, he created a new mentality and he tries to bring maximum professionalism to this team. He ensures that all the players who are in the team are in the best possible condition to be able to give results and make the people proud… Management, I think that each coach tries to give the best of himself like us on on the pitch we try to give the best of ourselves. Overall it either works or it doesn’t. Today it works, we are qualified. Kaba places a lot of emphasis on the group because the group is very important. That’s what makes you play well on the field. The right mentality
confides the Valencia defender to our colleagues at Foot224.
Kaba Diawara will appreciate…
