Motorola’s latest mid-range smartphone ‘Edge 40’ is expected to be released in Korea.

According to the industry, a Motorola smartphone with the ‘XT2303-2’ model number passed certification at the National Radio Research Institute on the 8th. It is the same as the ‘Edge 40’ model number released overseas last month.

The ‘Edge 40’ features a 6.55-inch OLED display with a 144Hz refresh rate and 2400×1080 pixel resolution, and is equipped with a MediaTek Dimensity 8020 processor, 8GB LPDDR4X RAM, and 256GB UFS 3.1 storage.

On the back, a dual camera consisting of a 50MP main camera + 13MP ultra-wide camera with OIS is provided, and a 32MP selfie camera is provided on the front. The 4400mAh battery supports 68W wired and 15W wireless charging. It is also IP68 rated waterproof and dustproof.

Generally, mobile devices that have passed radio wave certification in Korea are released within one to two months, so ‘Edge 40’ is expected to be released in Korea during the third quarter. Rumors are circulating that Motorola’s foldable smartphone ‘Razer 40 Ultra’ will also be released in Korea in the third quarter.
