Evidence of new technology more than real utility
At the MWC fair in Barcelona, Motorola shows off a concept phone. We got to take a closer look at it.
This is a phone you can fold not just in one place but along the entire construction. It can therefore be completely flat or wrap around your arm. To sit securely around the wrist, there is a separate bracelet that you first put around the wrist and to which the phone is then attached using magnets.
We get to test the phone ourselves on site and the impression is then that it is more just a concept and it is difficult to see particularly many practical areas of use. It is rarely ergonomic.
In addition to wearing the phone around the wrist, it can be placed in different positions on a flat tabletop, for example. If you position the phone as a boat, an upside-down V, there are games where you can see your game board and someone sitting across from you can see their half of the board on the part of the screen that is directed at them.
