Recently, however, in my eyes Xiaomi caught breath. Most new smartphones are worse or their predecessors, possibly the same, but costing more.
Where have things like this gone Xiaomi POCO X3 Pro? Why Redmi Note 11 Pro has a worse camera than Redmi Note 10 Pro? Why the prices of some smartphones increase over time, not decrease?

So, Motorola. And no, this is not a sponsored article, just an honest opinion professional for 8 years ManiaKa. You can agree with her or not; As always, I’d love to hear your arguments.

Let’s get to the merits. It is Motorola phones that offer everything that a statistical customer may require from devices whose purchase will not slim down our wallets.
I have several arguments for this:
- Motorola is switching to OLED screens or tweaked refresh,
- a strong advantage of its smartphones is the system, i.e. Android with practical additions, without unnecessary bells and whistles,
- thanks to good optimization, even average components (and these happen to Motka less and less often!) perform better than you might expect,
- cheap Motorola quite often boast stereo speakers,
- Optical image stabilization has already arrived to the slightly more expensive averages,
- the ultra-wide angle lens is rarely a victim of cost-cutting,
- most models can boast charging with a power of at least 30W, so satisfactorily fast,
- it is difficult to find any major deficiencies in the equipment,
- even if the starting prices sometimes seem exaggerated, they quickly fall to a much more reasonable level.
There are no ideals, but it is worth listening to customers
I really liked what I heard once at the Polish premiere, I think Edge 30 Pro from representatives of Motorola. Unlike its predecessor, it got stereo speakers because … the manufacturer listened to the criticism of users and testers. I respect that approach.

Of course, you can always stick to something. There are no perfect phones, for example some have tried to forcefully prove otherwise.
Sometimes the processor could be more powerful. Sometimes there could be more working memory. Charging is a bit slow on some models. Others (mostly a little older) may lack stereo speakers, as I have already mentioned.
However, I look at the whole and here is my opinion it’s the Motorola that basically does the best. That’s why she is the new queen of cheap phones and she is the one who won 2022.
The only thing that bothers me is rumors and leaks about the next generation of Motorola Moto G phones. I keep my fingers crossed that it turns out to be an accident at work, because staying on the throne can end surprisingly quickly.
Which Motorola smartphones are worth buying and at what price?
Basically, my favorites in the Motorola brand portfolio are:
- Motorola Moto G31: repeatedly available at the price of PLN 599, and tempting with an OLED screen (check current prices in stores),
- Motorola Moto G42: when you get it for less than PLN 800, don’t even think about it (check current prices in stores),
- Motorola Moto G52: one of the undisputed the best phones up to PLN 1,000 (check current prices in stores),
- Motorola Edge 20 Lite: the 8/128 GB version is available for a sensational PLN 1099!,
- Motorola Moto G82: equipped with a camera with OIS and a 120 Hz OLED screen, it delights for about PLN 1,300 (check current prices in stores),
- Motorola Edge 30 Neo: small and delightful, as long as it costs less than PLN 1,500 (check current prices in stores),
- Motorola Edge 30 Fusion: it’s almost an ex-flagship, but available at a nice price (check how much it costs in stores).
