Motorola Moto G Stylus 2021 specifications leaked: bigger screen and more

The first specifications of the Motorola Moto G Stylus 2021 have surfaced. The device with stylus support seems to be bigger than its predecessor, but it is in other areas, such as the camera.

Read on after the ad.

First Motorola Moto G Stylus 2021 specifications leaked

The specifications are divided by Evan Blass, better known on social media as Evleaks. The smartphone insider claims that Motorola is currently working on a new smartphone with stylus support. Presumably it is a successor to the Motorola Moto G Pro, a device that has been available in the Netherlands since the summer of 2020.

Probable specifications Motorola Moto G Stylus 2021:

  • 6.81 inch screen (2400 by 1080 pixels)
  • Snapdragon 675 processor with 4GB RAM and 128GB storage
  • Quadruple camera: 48 + 8 + 2 + 2 mega-pixel
  • 4000 mAh-accucapaciteit
  • Runs on Android 10

Blass therefore thinks that the G Stylus 2021 will have a larger screen than its predecessor. The first Moto G Stylus, which was released in the Netherlands under the name Moto G Pro, has a 6.4-inch screen. This also boosts the resolution slightly, which goes from 2300 by 1080 pixels to 2400 by 1080 pixels.

Furthermore, the Motorola Moto G Stylus 2021 seems to be slightly more powerful than its predecessor. According to Blass, he will get a Snapdragon 675 processor, instead of a 665 variant.

Questionable camera upgrade

In terms of cameras, the new stylus phone makes a more questionable upgrade. The new device will get one (depth) camera, according to Blass, but that is not the whole story. According to him, the wide-angle camera goes from 16 to 8 megapixels, a decline. The 48 megapixel main camera would remain unchanged and the same goes for the 2 megapixel macro camera.

All in all, not much will change. If the information from Blass is correct, the new stylus device has none 5G and nfc, the same battery capacity as its predecessor and runs out of the box Android 10. The latter is strange, because Android 11 is already available. Finally, Blass thinks that the device will be officially unveiled in mid-February. The price tag is still in the middle.
