Motorola has launched a new smartphone in Europe, the Motorola Edge 40, which is a more affordable alternative to the recently launched Edge 40 Pro. The Edge 40 is available for €599.99 (£529.99), which is €300 less than the Pro variant. Although Motorola hasn’t confirmed a US release for the Edge 40, it’s possible that the smartphone will follow in the footsteps of its Pro sibling, which was announced for the US market just two days ago. The Edge 40 boasts slightly lower specs across the board compared to the Pro, with a smaller 6.55 inch OLED screen and a 144Hz refresh rate. It is powered by a MediaTek Dimensity 8020 processor and has a slightly smaller 4,400mAh battery. However, the Edge 40 still offers fast charging, an IP68 rating for dust and water resistance, up to 15W wireless charging, and dual stereo speakers. The smartphone comes in acrylic blue, vegan leather green, or black.
