Motorola continues to fill its portfolio with news, and today it arrived line for the Edge model (2023). It is aimed at the upper middle class and offers surprisingly well-equipped equipment that will reliably satisfy even the most demanding users. This time, for example, you can look forward to a 6.6″ OLED display with Full HD+ resolution and a 144Hz refresh rate. The brightness then reaches a value of up to 1,200 nits. The Motorola Edge (2023) display will undoubtedly be among the best in its class.
The Dimensity 7030 from MediaTek together with 8GB of RAM takes care of the performance. The 256GB internal memory will please, the generosity of which is spoiled only by the impossibility of expansion. Unsurprisingly, Android 13 is deployed, the security of which can be taken care of by your fingerprint, the reader itself is built directly into the display. However, the manufacturer does not mention the length of software support for now. The aluminum frame and the back made of soft vegan leather are worth mentioning.
This year, there is only a duo of cameras on the back of the phone, but it is definitely something to stand for. The main sensor attracts 50 megapixels and optical image stabilization. A secondary ultra-wide-angle lens with 13 megapixels and a 120° field of view and allows you to take macro photos as well.
The battery this year has a rather weaker capacity of only 4,400 mAh. However, 68W wired charging is supported, thanks to which the entire phone can be charged in about half an hour. There is also support for 15W wireless charging. Additional equipment includes 5G support, NFC or increased IP68 resistance. In practice, the Motorola Edge (2023) will not be affected by dust or water.
