This name, which is a reference to Texas, the most densely populated city in the southern United States, indicates that the smartphone may be aimed primarily at the US market. However, Motorola plans to sell it in other parts of the world as well.
According to the information, the Houston smartphone will be a budget model and will have several versions with the numbers XT2517-V, XT2517-1, XT2517-2 and XT2517-3. The prefix “XT25” confirms the launch in 2025 and underlines the place of the smartphone in the future Motorola series.
Although the exact release date has not yet been announced, the presence of several versions indicates a global launch of the device, which will allow users in different countries to get their hands on the new smartphone.
