This topic was written by Sultan Al-Qahtani – In this new year, Motorola phones will benefit from the processing power necessary to handle tasks related to artificial intelligence. This was said by Chen Jin, head of mobile devices at Lenovo China, who wrote this on the Chinese social media platform Weibo.
If Motorola’s 2024 lineup of smartphones is equipped with a processor powerful enough to handle AI-related tasks, this could indicate that the 2024 Razr Plus phone will be powered by the Snapdragon 8 Gen 3 application processor.
Along with the processor update, the Razr Plus (2024) is expected to receive a design overhaul. This follows last year’s changes to the foldable device which included a larger 3.6-inch external display on the Razr Plus (2023) that covers the entire back panel when folded.
The external display is so useful that you can probably keep the phone folded and closed all day, use only the external display, and have a pleasant experience with the device.
The current Razr Plus (2023) is powered by the Snapdragon 8+ Gen 1. But if the next version of the Razr Plus is going to be able to handle all the AI tasks thrown at it without breaking a sweat, it will need to be equipped with a more capable application processor ( AP) such as Snapdragon 8 Gen 3.
We expect Motorola to retain much of the current specs for next year’s Razr Plus (2024), including the 6.9-inch internal plastic OLED display that has a 1080 x 2640 FHD+ resolution and a 165Hz refresh rate.
