Sebastian Vettel is ready to start his 2022 season, after recovering from Covid-19 and will be able to run the Australian Grand Prixas announced by his team Aston Martin.
The four-time world champion tested positive just before the first race of the year at Bahrain and was replaced by the reserve pilot Nico Hulkenberg. In this way, the Australian Grand Prix, the third date on the 2022 calendar, will be the stage in which Vettel return to the circuits, the weekend of April 8 to 10. Also, the Albert Park also returns to F1 after two years of absence due to the pandemic.

Sebastian Vettel returns to the championship with the challenge of adding some point for his team since, for the moment and with two races already played, Aston Martin is, along with Williamsthe only team that has not yet scored any points.
This return of the German also means confirmation of his continuity in the British team, after some rumors came to light about his retirement after this bad start to the season in Aston Martin.
In fact, Colin Kollesek boss of Force Indiamade these statements this very week in AvD Motor & Sport Magazinequestioning the continuity of the German pilot: “I don’t think I want to drive at all. He just doesn’t feel like doing that to himself.”.
“It is certainly a very bold thesis, but I am sure that he thinks a lot about whether he will still do this to himself”, commented colleagues.
Meanwhile, his own Vettel left these statements at the end of the official pre-season tests in Bahrain: “It drives differently. I’m playing around with driving styles and what I can do. Similarly, we are playing with the car and trying to solve some problems that we have.
“There is still much left to do. Everyone is at full throttle and there is still a very steep and high mountain to climb… but it is fun, I think the challenge is fun and there is a belief that one day we will reach that peak”, explained the pilot of Aston Martin.
