NEW YORK – Police in New York are searching for a pair of crooks who video shows violently stole a Brooklyn woman’s wallet.
The pair were driving down a sidewalk on a moped just after 9:00 pm Sunday when the 41-year-old victim was caught from behind in the Sunset Park area.
The video shows the suspects snatching her purse with such force that the woman ended up flying down a sidewalk between 57th Street and Eighth Avenue.
After obtaining their objective, the duo continued on their way, leaving the victim behind. Police said the purse contained the woman’s cell phone and about $700 in cash.
The woman sustained serious cuts to her face and body from the robbery, but is expected to recover.
