WâLTERSWâLD – Two motorists collided on the Trekwei near Dokkumerloane near Wâlterswâld at around 16:15 on Wednesday.
The driver of the van wanted to drive onto the Trekwei and overlooked the other motorist, resulting in a collision. Both vehicles ended up in the Trekvaart.
Police and two ambulances were called to the accident at 4:20 p.m. A driver escaped unhurt. She did have neck pain.
The other driver and another child were taken by ambulance to the hospital in Leeuwarden.
A salvage operator towed the vehicles out of service. During the recovery, the through road was temporarily blocked for through traffic.
