It was near for a tragedy to occur in an ATV competition, because of a motorist wanting to pass in force.
The video below is filmed by a camera installed on the helmet of a participant in a mountain biking competition, organized in the resort of Les Gets. This competition takes place on an off-road course traced in the mountain, which involves some difficulties and other road passages.
The organizers of the competition have marked the course and cut off traffic to ensure the safety of the competitors. But obviously, there was a big problem when one of the participants arrived on a road to be crossed: a red Alfa Romeo Giulietta finds itself in the middle of the lane. Its driver begins to slow down when he sees the approaching cyclist, and the latter brakes urgently to avoid the impact.
A forced passage?
A priori, the driver had nothing to do there because the traffic was blocked during the test. Fortunately, the cyclist and the organizers get away with a simple fright, and the motorist just collects a few bird names in the process.
