STROOBOS – A motorist was taken to the police station by the police on Thursday evening after his car ended up in the water. The accident happened just outside Stroobos, on the Dorpsterweg near Lutjegast.
The motorist drove on the Dorpsterweg towards Stroobos. He probably overlooked the bend and ended up in the water. The police and an ambulance arrived on the scene. Paramedics assessed the driver but did not require hospitalization.
The driver was taken to the police station by the police because he was probably driving under the influence. A tow truck pulled the car out of the water.
