Police arrested a motorcyclist on the A7 motorway near Middenbeemster yesterday morning who drove over 100 kilometers too fast. At a laser check, his speed was measured at 219 kilometers per hour, in a place where 100 is allowed.
The motorcyclist was stopped after a chase. It turned out to be a 31-year-old man from Zwanenburg.
A saliva test showed the man had also used drugs. He was arrested and the officers confiscated his driving license. The prosecutor will decide in a few days whether to return it. He will also determine what punishment the man will receive.
