The act of a man riding a motorbike on the street while smoking sparked a dispute. While acting arrogant, the man even claimed to be a member of the police.
The incident occurred in Jagakarsa, South Jakarta (Jaksel). The motorist who smoked was questioned by other motorists for throwing cigarette ashes carelessly.
The motorist complained because the cigarette ash that was thrown carelessly almost hit a small child. There was a small commotion on the side of the road.
The complaining motorist recorded a video when the altercation occurred. In the circulating video, the man who dumped cigarette ash carelessly it was seen in a white shirt and brown pants.
Instead of apologizing, the man wearing the skullcap even claimed to be a member of the National Police. The man also showed a card from the card on his waist.
“Who are you?” asked the video recorder.
“Police,” the man replied.
“At least if you’re a policeman, you understand how to smoke in a vehicle. If you’re a policeman, you understand better, you drive, you smoke too,” said the video recorder.
The man who was reprimanded for throwing cigarette ashes carelessly then seemed to hold back from getting into a physical fight because the video recorder brought a small child. It appears that a security guard intervened and asked the man to confess to the police to leave the location.
Certainly not the police
Jagakarsa Police Chief Kompol Multazam Lisendra said the man in the video was not a member of the Jagakarsa Police. Multazam also said that the KTA that was shown was not a National Police KTA.
“We are currently investigating. He is not a member of the Polsek. From the video, he is not a KTA member,” said Multazam when confirmed, Monday (26/6).

Police Hunted
The Jagakarsa Police then hunted down a male motorbike rider who went viral claiming to be a policeman when he was reprimanded for throwing cigarette ashes carelessly while driving.
“That person is not a member of the National Police and we are currently Jagakarsa Police are pursuing this person,” said Multazam.
Man Claims Police Arrested
After a day, the motorcyclist who claimed to be a member of the police was finally found. The man was detained at the Jagakarsa Police. The man named Dedi was arrested on Tuesday (27/6) at around 08.00 WIB.
