A motorcyclist fled from a police check near Lichtenberg in the night… and ultimately had to be flown to the hospital in Jena by helicopter with serious injuries.
The police wanted to check the 34-year-old at the parking lot at Lichtenberger See. Instead, the biker raced away towards Blechschmiedenhammer. Because of his speed, he finally crashed into the guardrail in a curve. Only still responsive, he was then picked up by helicopter. The reason why he decided to make the fateful escape: the motorcycle was no longer insured and he didn’t have a driver’s license to ride the bike.
