Motorcyclist died in serious accident on A4 near The Hague

A motorcyclist has been killed in a serious accident on the A4. The accident happened around 11.15 pm near the Prins Clausplein near The Hague. Several vehicles were involved, police said. The fire brigade, an ambulance and a trauma helicopter were among others on the scene.

The cause of the accident is being investigated. Photos show that the victim’s motorcycle has been severely damaged and that a van has ended up in the median strip.

Witnesses told local media that the motorcyclist was traveling at high speed on the back of the van. He fell, and his motorcycle would have been launched over the guardrail to the other side of the highway.

The lanes at Prins Clausplein are currently closed to traffic in both directions.
