A motorcycle cop was killed this morning in a collision in Rotterdam. The officer collided with a truck, which then drove on.
The police confirm the death of the agent to the NOS after a message from the regional broadcaster Rhine estuary. According to the police, the collision happened at the intersection of Eemlandweg and Waalhavenweg. The cause is still unknown.
The truck believed to have been involved in the collision has since been found. A suspect has also been arrested and police are investigating whether he was the driver of the truck.
Big impact
The officer who died worked for the traffic police in Rotterdam. “The impact on colleagues is enormous,” the corps writes. The investigation into the accident is being conducted by the The Hague police.
