“Motorbike Travelers Crowd Ciwandan Port for Homecoming”

Travelers using motorbikes are dense Ciwandan Harbour until tonight. The arrival of travelers continues to flow into the port.

Monitoring at Ciwandan Port Wednesday (19/4/2023) from 08.00-22.00 WIB, travelers continued to arrive at the port. The flow of motorbikes is getting busier towards midnight.

The travelers were seen crowding the large tents provided by the port management as a transit area waiting for their turn to board the ship. There are about 4 partitions in the tent filled with travelers.

The port manager implements a hold-and-pull pattern for travelers at the port. When travelers arrive at the port, they are detained first in tents waiting for the ship to dock. After the ship has docked, travelers inside the blue tents will be pulled into the ship in turn.

Previously, the Coordinating Minister for Human Empowerment and Culture, Muhadjir Effendi predicted that 25 thousand motorbike travelers would cross to Bakauheni Port via Ciwandan today.

“Especially for motorbikes there (Ciwandan Port), one day there are around 13,000 motorcycles and later tonight we estimate there will be an increase of up to 25,000,” said Muhadjir at Merak Port, Banten, Wednesday (19/4/2023) ).

For this reason, he hopes that the homecoming situation at Ciwandan Port will run smoothly. He had also calculated that the queues at Ciwandan Harbor would probably not be as long.
