MISANO – It continues to rain, but with less intensity than yesterday. Tomorrow the weather should improve significantly. The races are not at risk. We run again to Misanojust 2 weeks after Marc Marquez’s triumphant weekend: the gp dell’Emilia-Romagna it replaces the Kazakhstan event, already postponed for the first time – due to damage caused by a flood – and then definitively cancelled. On Sunday in Misano the MotoGP races at 1pm

This Sunday also runs Formula Onein Singapore and when in Italy it will be 2pm. To avoid overlapping, the start of the MotoGP race is brought forward by an hour: green light at 1pm. From today, the event will be live on Sky Sport and streaming on Now, while TV8 will broadcast live and free-to-air qualifying and sprint races on Saturday (the races will be deferred). It starts at 9 am with the first free practice session of Moto3, followed – 50 minutes later – by Moto2 and at 10.45 by MotoGP. At 1.15pm Moto3 returns to the track, at 2.05pm Moto2 “Practice 1”, at 3pm it’s MotoGP’s turn with the 10 fastest moving directly to Q2 the following day. On Saturday it’s immediately the turn of Moto3 (8.40), then Moto2 (9.25), then MotoGP first faces the third session (10.10), to then move directly (10.50) to qualifying. Later, the qualifying sessions for Moto3 (12.50pm), Moto2 (1.45pm), and the sprint race at 3pm. Sunday, all early times. After the short MotoGP warm up (8.40am), the start of the Moto3 race (10am) over 20 laps; Moto2 starts at 11.15am (22 laps), MotoGP at 1pm (27).

Next year the appointment will be at Balaton Park

For the rest of the season – after Misano, there are 6 events remaining – the MotoGP calendar is confirmed. Next year’s one offers an official surprise: the debut on the Hungarian circuit of Balaton Parkan hour’s drive from the center of Budapest. The announcement was made yesterday by Carmelo Ezpeleta, CEO of Dorna Sports: «The track is in a spectacular location: it will require some adaptation work, but it will be ready for the next championship». The event in Hungary, where the world championship began racing in 1990, should coincide with the weekend of 22-24 August 2025. The same track will also host the Superbike in July. Next season the world championship will stop again in Brno, in the Czech Republic. No GP Portimaoit is probable that he will also give up that of Aragon.

The Australian, 29 years old, now with KTM and long-time companion of Bagnaia in Ducati, has signed an annual contract. Two weeks ago he finished in 8th place in both the sprint and the Sunday GP. In the recent past, the ‘Marco Simoncelli’ circuit had already hosted two races in the same season: it happened in 2020 and 2021, during the pandemic. On both occasions, foreign bikes had won – in all categories except MotoE: first the Husqvarna in Moto3, the Kalex in Moto2 and the Yamaha (with Morbidelli) in MotoGP; then, in 2012, Honda achieved a double in Moto3 and MotoGP, the Kalex in Moto2.
