racers MotoGP Mandalika enjoy ginger wedang at the Merdeka Palace, Jakarta. They sipped the hot drink while waiting in line to take pictures with President Joko Widodo (Jokowi).
The racers enjoyed the treat while standing. The Palace called the racers one by one to take pictures with Jokowi inside the Palace. Ducati racer Francesco Bagnaia was the first to take a photo with Jokowi.
They took pictures while holding helmets. Jokowi also took pictures while wearing racing clothes. Jokowi also holds a racing helmet which he usually wears when riding a motorcycle.
The racers who have not had their turn to finish a cup of ginger wedang. They were also accompanied to chat by several officials, such as MPR Chairman Bambang Soesatyo and Calling BUMN Erick Thohir.
Several times the racers were invited to take selfies by Palace officials. Marc Marquez is the racer most asked for photos by Palace employees.
After taking pictures, Jokowi invited the racers to the Merdeka Palace yard. He showed off his motorbike. Then Jokowi invited Marc Marquez et al. take a group photo at the entrance to the Merdeka Palace.
After the hospitality, Jokowi escorted the racers out of the Jakarta Presidential Palace. He took off the parade of 20 MotoGP riders. Jokowi waves the flag as a sign of the start of the parade
The parade starts from the Merdeka Palace to the Hotel Indonesia Roundabout. After the parade, the racers will fly to Lombok for the 2022 Mandalika MotoGP race.
