A number of MotoGP riders meet the President Jokowi at the Merdeka Palace, Jakarta. Rider Marc Marquez said he was happy for his visit to the Merdeka Palace and was received directly by Jokowi.
“Of course this is very pleasant and the President received our visit very well,” said Marc Marquez, as shown on the Presidential Secretariat’s YouTube show, as seen on Wednesday (16/3/2022).
Marquez reveals MotoGP riders can’t wait to follow race at the Mandalika Circuit. He is looking forward to racing MotoGP in Indonesia.
“We are looking forward to racing in front of our fans in Indonesia,” he said.
The same thing was conveyed by the Suzuki Ecstar Team racer, Joan Mir. He was happy to be able to meet Jokowi in person.
“I feel very excited. It is a pleasure to meet and greet the President directly,” said Joan Mir.
Meanwhile, Honda Team Asia rider, Mario Aji, appreciated the meeting of MotoGP racers with Jokowi. According to him, the meeting can be a motivation for the riders before competing in the Mandalika 2022 MotoGP.
“Very extraordinary, appreciation for the President has invited rider Indonesia, which is also struggling to make the nation proud, Mario, of course, can be motivated to run this week’s race,” said Mario.
Mario asked for support from all Indonesian people so that the Indonesian racers participating in the 2022 MotoGP could provide the best results. At the same time, make the Indonesian nation proud.
“Please pray and support for rider Indonesian, everyone rider so that we can make the nation proud and of course we will give our best later,” he said.
