MotoGP Italy 2023 Qualification Results: Bagnaia claims pole position after defeating Marquez

Francis Bagnaia reach pole position after beating Marc Marquez in qualifying MotoGP Italy 2023. On the track, Pecco also seemed annoyed with the MM93.

At the Mugello circuit, Saturday (10/6) afternoon WIT, the 2023 Italian MotoGP qualification begins with the Q1 session. The top two riders in this session are entitled to qualify for Q2 to be involved in competition for pole.

There are famous names like Fabio Quartararo, Jack Miller, Alex Marquez and Maverick Vinales who had to compete with each other for speed first in Q1 2023 Italian MotoGP qualification.

On the track, Alex Marquez immediately showed off his speed. The lap time of 1 minute 45.298 seconds made him in the top position for the Q1 session, ahead of Franco Morbidelli by 0.456 seconds.

Shortly thereafter, an incident appeared on the track. There is Raul Fernandez who crashed after losing control of the front of his motorbike. It has crashed twice today.

In the process, Alex Marquez was not disturbed by his position at the top of Q1. He also qualified for Q2, accompanied by Jack Miller who was in second place with a record time of 0.328 seconds.

With gray clouds hanging in the sky, it seems that the riders will try to step on the gas immediately at the beginning of Q2 to anticipate the potential for rain.

Enea Bastianini immediately fell at the start of the Q2 session! Meanwhile there is also Marco Bezzecchi who has raced with a lap time of 1 minute 45.372 seconds.

Bezzecchi recorded the fastest time for a while, with Marc Marquez in second place. But not long after, it was Jorge Martin’s turn who shot ahead with a time of 1 minute 45.268. Bezzecchi slipped into second place.

Pecco Bagnaia looked annoyed with Marc Marquez who just came out of the pit lane in front of him. Expressively, Bagnaia leveled up with Marquez and waved his left hand at the helmet and at his rival in annoyance.

After that, Bagnaia recorded the fastest time so far. Marc Marquez overshadowed him in second place. In the end there was no change in position in qualifying at Mugello. pecco pole, Marc Marquez second, with Alex Marquez then accompanying them in third position.
