Duo Pramac Ducati Jack Miller and Pecco Bagnaia both failed to complete MotoGP of Emilia Romagna. Fabio Quartararo is suspected to be the cause. How?
In the race at the Misano Circuit on Sunday (20/09/2020), Miller actually had good prospects because he started in second position. He even took the lead in the first round.
However, Miller experienced bad luck. The Australian rider suffered mechanical problems in the eighth lap which eventually forced him to pull over the edge of the track before being retired.
Meanwhile Bagnaia had to swallow a bitter pill. Starting from fifth position, Bagnaia dashed to the front row to lead most of the race and opened the gap with Maverick Vinales, his closest rival.
However, only seven laps before the end of the race Bagnaia crashed. Bagnaia dropped points as well as his first chance of victory.
After the race, Bagnaia revealed the cause of the incident. “The crash is unusual, because when I look at the data, my speed is the same, the slope is the same, the gas is the same, the track is the same. So I think I hit something like a plastic helmet coating or a dirty object on the track,” said the Italian rider.

The cause of the downfall of Bagnaia and Miller converged on Quartararo. Through his Instagram @jackmilleraus, Miller shared a photo in the form of a plastic helmet coating with the Quartararo logo. The Quartararo helmet visor sticker apparently got stuck in the air filter on his Desmosedici engine.
“@Fabio Quartararo I found something that is yours,” Miller wrote on his social media account.
“Too bad on the second lap my bike was able to suck the plastic up covering the air filter, sometimes racing can be a cruel game but thanks to my crew for the hard work.”
These results hit Miller’s chances in the world title competition MotoGP 2020. Miller, who was only 10 points behind Andrea Dovizioso at the top of the standings, is now scattered with 20 points in sixth position.
