MotoGP Calendar 2020: Dates and routes published

(Motorsport-Total.com) – In the wake of the Corona crisis, MotoGP promoter Dorna has published a new calendar for the rest of the 2020 calendar year. The focus is on races in Europe. What is new is that two grands prixes will take place on consecutive weekends on some routes. It will be decided by the end of July whether overseas races will take place.

The MotoGP season is set to continue in Jerez on July 19 zoom

It starts on July 19 in Jerez de la Frontera. A second race is scheduled for a week later. Then, on August 9, we will continue to Brno in the Czech Republic. After that, two races will take place in Spielberg (Austria) on August 16 and 23.

After Austria, the entourage moves further south to Italy. On September 13th and 20th Misano Adriatico will be the scene of two races. The next stop is Spain, where they will be driving in Barcelona on September 27th.

Subsequently, on October 11th, Le Mans (France) is planned. Then it goes back to Spain. First, two races are scheduled in Aragon on October 18 and 25, followed by two races in Valencia on November 8 and 15.

There is currently no audience for the holding of the Grands Prix in Europe.

After Valencia, races in the USA, Argentina, Thailand and Malaysia are also on the waiting list without an appointment. Whether these grands prix can be held should be decided by July 31 at the latest.

It was also confirmed that the season will not end later than December 13th. The calendar should include a maximum of 17 events.
