Diogo Moreira qualified on pole position for the first time in his Grand Prix career. He is the first Brazilian to qualify on pole position in 125cc/Moto3. He will try to get on the podium for the first time in Moto3. This is the second pole position for KTM in Moto3 at Silverstone with Maverick Viñales in 2013. Only three riders have won from pole at Silverstone in Moto3 since 2012: Maverick Viñales (2012) on an FTR-Honda, Alex Rins (2014 ) on a Honda and Romano Fenati (2021) on a Husqvarna.
Second in the Championship, Be Guevara qualified in second position, which is the seventh time since the start of the year that he has qualified in the top three (and the fourth time in a row). On the last four occasions he has been on the podium, including three victories. He will try to become the first rider to reach seven successive Moto3 podiums since Brad Binder in 2016.
Ryusei Yamanaka qualified third, which is the first time he has qualified in the top three. He will try to get on his first podium in Moto3. After going through Q1, Riccardo Rossi qualified fourth, equaling his best qualifying result since the start of the season in Argentina where he finished P4, which is also his best result of the year so far.
Stefano Nepa qualified fifth, his best qualifying result since fourth at the Catalunya GP last year. Third in the championship Dennis Foggia qualified seventh, their worst result since finishing 12th in Portugal earlier this year. He will try to win for the second time this year, with Indonesia. He finished P3 last year at Silverstone in Moto3.
After passing Q1, the Championship leader, Sergio Garciaqualified in 11th position, which is the third time since the start of the year this year that he has failed to qualify in the top nine, such as in Austin (where he crashed and retired) and at Assen (where he finished P3).
